The Right to Manage Federation is a not for profit organisation founded to promote RTM and other leaseholder rights that have been progressively introduced by Parliament in landlord and tenant legislation from the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 to the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.

The RTMF provides a comprehensive service at little or no cost to flat owners seeking to exercise the right to manage. We operate a one stop shop approach providing everything that is required throughout the whole process but leaving all decisions to the democratic vote of our instructing leaseholders. Our mission and our pledge is to make RTM available to as many flat owners as possible at the lowest guaranteed cost

Legislation provides a range of options for leaseholders trapped in the clutches of unscrupulous landlords. In addition to RTM these include the right to extend your lease, the right to enfranchise (buy your freehold) and the right of first refusal (the option to buy your freehold if your landlord seeks to sell). The RTMF can assist leaseholders find the appropriate solution at minimum cost, minimum risk and minimum worry. This is as relevant to busy working professionals as it is to residents in retirement blocks.
